Master Program of Environmental Science and Engineering

Program Objectives
This program is designed for international students or overseas Chinese with undergraduate degree diploma or Bachelor degree. This program, which is divided into two majors: Environmental Science, and Environmental Engineering. Through the program, students are expected to acquire the following:
high-level professional skills,
a solid theory basis,
broad scope of knowledge,
abilities of strong adaptability and creativity,
To undertake scientific research or engineering design of waste water, exhaust gas and solid wastes control and treatment.

The program covers:
Waste Water Treatment and Optimal Control Technologies
Waste Treatment and Resource Utilization Technology
Air Pollution Control Theories and Technologies
Membrane Technologies and Drinking Water Security
Environmental Biological and Ecological Remedy Technologies

Length, Credits and Degree
The length of curriculum is normally 2.5 years with a maximum of 4 years.

Minimum credits for graduation: Thirty-six credits are required, including 6 credits for dissertation.

Qualified student will be granted Certificates of graduation and master degree of Engineering of Environmental Sciences & Engineering by Zhejiang Gongshang University .

Instruction language
All the courses are delivered in English.
Dissertation is required to be written in English.

Main courses
Compulsory Courses: Process Engineering Principles, Frontier Lectures on Environmental Science and Engineering, Environmental Pollution Simulation and Control, Environmental Biology, Experiment Design and Dada Analysis.

Optional Courses: Data Simulation Technology of Waste Water Treatment, Theory and Engineering of Waste Water Treatment, Membrane Technology for Waste Water Treatment, Advanced Separation Engineering, Solid Waste Disposal and Resource Utilization Engineering, Research Methods on Solid Wastes Ecotoxicology, Electric Dust Removal Theory and Technologies, Latest Treatment Technologies of Exhaust Gas, Molecular Environmental Ecology, Environment Biological Treatment Technologies,etc.

Social practice
Social Practices include participating in academic activities, scientific research projects and internship.
