Dr. Jun YIN is associate professor at School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Zhejiang
Gongshang University-China since 2009. In 2004 she received her Ph.D. from Zhejiang
University-China in Environmental Engineering with the thesis of Biological Removal of Odorous
Gases by Biofilter and Microbiological Mechanism. Since 2004, she participated in the research
project of Key Techniques for Rehabilitation of Polluted Water Environment of Huangpu River
and Suzhou River sponsored by Committee of Science and Technology of Shanghai as a podstdoc
at Tongji University-China. In 2006, she got the fellowship of Sino-French P2R Project to do
research work at LISBP, INSA de Toulouse-France. During this period, she took part in two
projects dealing with ‘elimination of priority substances in the hybrid process coupling adsorption
and biodegradation’ and ‘characterization and growth of autotrophic/heterotrophic biofilms’,
respectively. Since 2004, her research interests include water and wastewater treatment, biological
nitrogen removal, biofilm reactors. She has begun to supervise graduate students for M.Sc in the
field of wastewater treatment.
